My mom often writes us nice summaries of her adventures with Ava on those days she stays with her. I was reading the latest one, and it sounded a lot to me like a blog post. So, here goes….
as most of you know, ava & i spent today together since willowwind was closed due to the weather. we went to ‘tot time’ at scanlon gym this morning; she rode a big wheel-type trike back & forth across the gym. i told her i didn’t know if she could ride all the way across (:->); she delighted in proving me wrong several times. we also kicked a ball back & forth for a while before using the potty, then heading downtown to the library for storytime. this is a great town!
this afternoon after lunch & rest time, we played in her room. charlie & she like spending time in her tent
& ava likes spending time in charlie’s cage (she had me put that sign on the cage)
we also had a tea party, using some china my grandmother holsteen gave me. i don’t know how ava’s great great grandmother would feel about us serving cheetos (the new pi version) & roasted pumpkin seeds in her fine china … but times have changed.
