David Price has a book out on the (relatively short) history of Pixar, one of my favorite companies in the world.
By most accounts, Pixar appears to be on the verge of releasing yet another summer blockbuster with WALL*E next month. If its numbers are even half as good as everything else Pixar has ever produced, it’ll make the Hollywood press forget that Speed Racer ever existed (which they pretty much have already). And even if — by some miracle — the movie bombs, at the very least, John Ratzenberger will be in ramen for the next couple months. Seriously, what would he and Randy Newman do for work if it weren’t for Pixar?
