Now I know why it’s called that.\u00c2\u00a0 My cursed desk job is harder on my arse than it is my hands, but a weekend chock full of manual labor is a great reminder of how easy it is to thrash your digits.<\/p>\n
It all started Saturday morning.\u00c2\u00a0 To my profound disappointment, I woke at 6:50, even though I had the bed all to myself.\u00c2\u00a0 I know Menard’s is open early on the weekends, so I ran out there and got some items I needed for the house.\u00c2\u00a0 When I got home, I set to work trimming back a neighbor’s lilac bush, which took from 9 to noon.\u00c2\u00a0 During that time, I managed to gouge my hands a couple times on my super-sharp bushman’s saw.\u00c2\u00a0 One of the cuts is right on the tip the middle finger on my right hand; gosh, I use that finger a lot in typing.<\/p>\n
