{"id":835,"date":"2007-04-11T21:09:32","date_gmt":"2007-04-12T03:09:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nicheplayer.net\/wordpress\/?p=835"},"modified":"2007-04-11T21:09:32","modified_gmt":"2007-04-12T03:09:32","slug":"weekend-plan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nicheplayer.net\/avablog\/2007\/04\/11\/weekend-plan\/","title":{"rendered":"Weekend plan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Leah and I have very different taste in music.\u00c2\u00a0 This Friday, my brother and I are meeting Kevin up in Decorah for a <a href=\"http:\/\/programming.luther.edu\/centerstage\/kurtelling\/index.html\" title=\"ke\">Kurt Elling show<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I understand that Kurt is not to everyone&#8217;s liking.\u00c2\u00a0 So be it.\u00c2\u00a0 I don&#8217;t listen to much Top 40.\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;m looking forward to the show.\u00c2\u00a0 Leah recently got us tickets to a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/musica?aid=pIYGfT_w_FB&amp;sa=X&amp;oi=music&amp;ct=result\" title=\"gb\">Greg Brown<\/a> show here in Iowa City, which is nice.\u00c2\u00a0 We&#8217;ve seen him a number of times at a benefit he does in Decorah for <a href=\"http:\/\/seedsavers.org\/\" title=\"ss\">Seed Savers<\/a> every year, which is an amazing show, but it&#8217;s gotten way, waay too big.\u00c2\u00a0 I like Greg&#8217;s music, but an Iowa City show is going to be mobbed.\u00c2\u00a0 Not my scene.<\/p>\n<p>When we picked up Ava at daycare the other day, she was running around her room in big circles with all the daycare workers and the other kids, country music blaring from the CD player above the changing table.\u00c2\u00a0 Country.\u00c2\u00a0 Whew.\u00c2\u00a0 So much about having kids is about letting go.\u00c2\u00a0 I suppose this is another of those trials.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Leah and I have very different taste in music.\u00c2\u00a0 This Friday, my brother and I are meeting Kevin up in Decorah for a Kurt Elling show.
