Ava’s home sick today with a virus that’s seemingly everywhere right now.\u00c2\u00a0 So she’d been in our bed since about midnight last night, which isn’t great, but it’s not the worst thing in the world.<\/p>\n
But it throws things off a bit.\u00c2\u00a0 I’d just hopped out of bed this morning when the carbon monoxide alarm in our room started going off.\u00c2\u00a0 Great.\u00c2\u00a0 Last time this happened, the fire department showed up, lights blazing, and five firemen strolled into the house to tell us to open our windows and not cook on the stove for five hours at a time.\u00c2\u00a0 I envisioned a similar scenario unfolding this morning, and I needed to get to work to get a couple things done before I came home to do my afternoon shift with Ava.\u00c2\u00a0 It turned out OK.\u00c2\u00a0 A couple guys showed up and said they didn’t get a bad reading, and that our detector was probably going bad.\u00c2\u00a0 I can deal with that.<\/p>\n
Leah took Ava to the doctor’s office this morning to learn that she doesn’t have a red throat (she’s coughing a lot), but she does have a bit of a fever and is a tad out of sorts.\u00c2\u00a0 I’m hoping I can get her down for a nap this afternoon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
