Could today finally be the day I break down and buy a cell phone? I suspect it’ll be as close as I’ve ever come (which is to say, moderately close).<\/p>\n

Buzz on the street<\/a> is that Steve J. & Co. are set to announce an Apple-designed cellphone in about 1.5 hours. If it’s half as cool and innovative as it’s rumored to be, it’ll be difficult to fight the desire to push the Buy Now button.<\/p>\n

I suppose I should give in sooner or later. Leah’s mentioned on a couple occasions that it would be handy if I had a cell phone (what’s the point in being married if you aren’t reachable 24\/7?); Greg <\/a>insists that everyone needs one; my mom’s<\/em> even had a cell for years! Heck, Georgie <\/em><\/strong>has a cell phone! Really. How long can I expect to retain any claim to my technophile status if I don’t even have a cell phone? Shameful, really.<\/p>\n
