{"id":278,"date":"2006-03-05T16:14:31","date_gmt":"2006-03-05T22:14:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nicheplayer.net\/wordpress\/?p=278"},"modified":"2006-03-05T16:14:31","modified_gmt":"2006-03-05T22:14:31","slug":"one-of-those-afternoons","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nicheplayer.net\/avablog\/2006\/03\/05\/one-of-those-afternoons\/","title":{"rendered":"One of those afternoons"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>No, not one of <em>those<\/em> afternoons; it&#8217;s one where everything goes right.<\/p>\n<p>I finally got VNC set up on my mom&#8217;s wireless iBook, which was a test run for our friend Jude&#8217;s computer when she gets her new MacBook Pro next month.\u00c2\u00a0 It took some doing and some help from <a title=\"gs\" href=\"http:\/\/cindyandgreg.com\/\">Greg<\/a> (as usual), but it&#8217;s running great now.<br \/>\nAva and I got to take a nap together for an hour after she had lunch.\u00c2\u00a0 Well, <em>she<\/em> napped.\u00c2\u00a0 I sat there next to her and watched her sleep.\u00c2\u00a0 Then Leah got home from a shopping trip to the mall, and as she pulled into the driveway, I noticed one of our headlamps was out on the Volvo.\u00c2\u00a0 Great.\u00c2\u00a0 But it turns out the nearby hardware store carries the replacement bulbs we need, so that was a quick fix.<\/p>\n<p>Then I went by Hy Vee to pick up some supplies, and I found these Russell Stover mints that my friend Marcia has been looking for.\u00c2\u00a0 I bought the six boxes they had on display.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, I had just finished loading the groceries into the car when a man walked by and said he&#8217;d take my cart for me.\u00c2\u00a0 Nice!<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s the little things.\u00c2\u00a0 Oscars tonight!\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;m pulling for Hoffman for BA and Williams as BSA.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>No, not one of those afternoons; it&#8217;s one where everything goes right.
