So all y’all recall the conversation I was having with my friend about Christmas letters, yes?\u00c2\u00a0 Well, I did receive hers in the mail right before the holidays hit.\u00c2\u00a0 As expected, it included a picture of her with her new husband.\u00c2\u00a0 Very cute.\u00c2\u00a0 The letter itself was a page and a half, single-spaced, pretty small type.\u00c2\u00a0 I.e., kinda long.<\/p>\n
When I finished the letter I had an epiphany.\u00c2\u00a0 As you may have heard before, there really are only two kinds of people in the world.\u00c2\u00a0 No, not the haves and the have nots.\u00c2\u00a0 Not the glass-half-empties and the glass-half-fulls.\u00c2\u00a0 Nope.\u00c2\u00a0 The two kinds of people in the world are those who enjoy reading holiday letters written from the perspective of the pet housecat and those who don’t enjoy reading holiday letters written from the perspective of the pet housecat.<\/p>\n
I won’t spoil the suspense and let you know where I come down on the issue.\u00c2\u00a0 For a while I considered scanning the letter and posting it here for everyone to enjoy, but it occurred to me that the letter’s feline author has no legal standing, and I didn’t want to be responsible for exploiting a defenseless animal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
