\nWe were getting ready to go this morning, and Ava was downstairs waiting for her Gramary to come pick her up; they’re going on an adventure today. It suddenly occurred to me I wasn’t sure if we were supposed to drop Ava off. So I called Gramary, and Ava listened intently to my side of the conversation. When I hung up, Ava called out and asked if Gramary was coming to get her. No, I replied, we were dropping off. And Ava said, “Aw, Jesus.” <\/p>\n
“What?” I asked, from the top of the stairs. I could hear Leah snickering in the bathroom. Ava repeated,<\/p>\n
“Aw, Jesus.”<\/p>\n
“We don’t say that,” I said. “You want, ‘Aw, geez.'”<\/p>\n
I’m not sure she got it. Shortly after the correction, she pulled on her shoes, grabbed her stuffed bear, and waited intently for our departure. I’m so looking forward to all the nasty things she’s sure to utter over the next 10 years.
