{"id":178,"date":"2005-12-20T13:19:40","date_gmt":"2005-12-20T19:19:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nicheplayer.net\/wordpress\/?p=178"},"modified":"2005-12-20T13:19:40","modified_gmt":"2005-12-20T19:19:40","slug":"italian-tortellini-soup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nicheplayer.net\/avablog\/2005\/12\/20\/italian-tortellini-soup\/","title":{"rendered":"Italian Tortellini Soup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A recipe Leah got from our friend Megan.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\n1 lb mild italian sausage (bulk or link)<br \/>\n1 c. onion (chopped)<br \/>\n2 cloves minced garlic<\/p>\n<p>Brown sausage, onion and garlic; drain well; combine in a soup kettle<br \/>\nwith the following ingredients:<\/p>\n<p>5 c. beef broth<br \/>\n1\/2 c. dry red wine<br \/>\n1\/2 c. water<br \/>\n1 c. sliced carrots<br \/>\n8 oz. tomato sauce<br \/>\n2 c. chopped tomatoes or 1 14 oz. can diced tomatoes<br \/>\n1\/2 t. basil<br \/>\n1\/2 t. oregano<br \/>\n1 1\/2 c. celery<\/p>\n<p>Simmer over low heat for one hour (or longer if desired). Cook an 8 oz.<br \/>\npackage of cheese or meat tortellini according to package instructions.<br \/>\nAdd the tortellini and 1 medium chopped green pepper to the soup before<br \/>\nserving.
