We leave this afternoon for our annual Grand Marais<\/a> vacation. I call it “our,” even though it’s really Leah’s family’s vacation; I just married into it. They keep tolerating my presence (barely) each year, so I keep going.

\nThe first year I went, there was a moratorium on all things tech. No computers. Back to nature. “Fine,” I said. It’s not like I’m an addict<\/a><\/em>, or anything. Those rules have softened a bit over time, and this year Kevin is actually thinking of creating a nice little ad hoc wireless network with his MacBook and Sprint USB mobile broadband modem. Will he be able to get a wireless signal in the middle of nowhere<\/a>? Stay tuned….<\/p>\n

Depending on what kind of connectivity we can get, I hope to post a couple times while we’re gone and maybe even include a photo or two. My beloved Flickr tells me I uploaded only 185 pictures<\/a> from last year’s trip. Surely I can better that number this time ’round?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
