I was too, at her age, but then I had a lot to work with:<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/42\/116605162_3889031803.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/42\/116605162_3889031803_m.jpg\" alt=\"locks\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>That photo was taken just before my second birthday.  When I wasn&#8217;t twisting my own hair, I was twisting my mom&#8217;s.  What I don&#8217;t recall from this period was creating the impossible knots that needed to be cut out of my hair.  Ava specializes in these.  But she got a new cut yesterday that we hope will slow her twisting for a while.  I love it.  Just when I was thinking Ava couldn&#8217;t get any cuter:<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2356\/2093446822_cbccbc8b30.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox\"><br \/>\n<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2356\/2093446822_cbccbc8b30_m.jpg\" alt=\"'do\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Leah tells me this is a &#8220;layered bob.&#8221;  That sounds more like a meaty sandwich you&#8217;d get at a truck stop.
