Ava is off at camps at her former kindergarten this week. This morning, as I was slathering her with sunscreen, she asked me to come up with a riddle that would prepare her for her “Brain Busters” camp today.
So I wrote down the riddle of the Sphinx and sent her off to think about it. I checked in with her after a couple minutes and was surprised that she’d surmised that the four-legged stage was a crawling baby and the two-legged stage was a walking person. She was stumped by the three legs, but since she was clearly on the right path, she was pleased to learn the full answer to the riddle. I hope Ava doesn’t come home from camp with any riddles that’re too tough for her old man to solve!
