Gosh, I take lots of pictures. Lots and lots and lots. Sometimes I run to get my camera because I’m so excited to capture something I’m looking at, and other times, frankly, I have to drag myself to snap a shot. Sometimes I look at my camera and just can’t bring myself to touch it.
But even in my darkest photography funk, all it takes is one shot to reignite my passion. Last evening, it was this shot:
Not such a distinguished image, technically, but pleasing enough to look at. To me, though, it captures Emmett as I see him. Or, at least, as I think of him. It is “the Emmett I know.” I believe I see this image in a way no one else does. Or can. And looking at this image makes me want to capture more just like it.
