I got an e-mail from G.G. the other day, reminding me that we’ve not been posting to this blog enough. She’s a master of the obvious. So I thought I’d take this rare opportunity to tell a little story I think will make G.G.’s day.
When I asked Ava this evening what she did at school today, she grabbed a small sheaf of stapled papers and brought them over to me. It was an alphabet book, with each letter printed on a different page and Ava’s handwritten words there to reflect each one of them. She flipped through each of the pages: A for apple, B for bees, etc., until we got to G. And G, of course, is for “GG.” What else?
A is for Apple
