We hopped into the car and drove up to Lake Zurich, IL for the weekend to visit a friend of mine. The weather was much nicer there than it was supposed to be, so we were able to get outside for lots of fun activities. My Flickr stream is bulging with about 40 shots from the trip (culled from the 270 or so that were on my CF card when we got back).
We grilled out this evening for the first time this season. Red snapper prepared with a little salt, pepper, olive oil, and lemon juice. Our friends Andy, Sarah, and their son Mac came over for dinner, too, which was a nice end to the weekend. I haven’t touched a computer since we left on Friday morning, which feels good. If the coming week is even a third as hellish as I’m expecting it to be, I figure I’ll be sick and tired of looking at a computer screen come about noon on Tuesday.
