Moment of cuteness

Sometimes I wonder if it’s possible to take a picture that’s so cute, it makes the viewer vomit upon seeing it. Wouldn’t that be weird? Anyway, if this turns out to be that picture for you, I apologize in advance.

    retch, retch, retch. and retch again, i say! it is absolutely adorable. in fact, on more than one occasion i've wanted to send my own family the pics you take of your children, just because they are so darned cute! this one is just a total joy.

    I hate to speak out of turn, but I believe it's Gap, Liz. And like so many items of kids' clothes (as you're no doubt discovering), it has hidden disappointments. Like how the buttons don't stay buttoned. Oh, did I mention buttons? What kind of masochist puts buttons on ANYTHING an infant would wear? I'd like to have the designer of this outfit come over to the house and try to change Emmett's diaper when he's wearing this getup. It's like wrasslin' a greased cat!

    Isn't it weird? My mom's dad had really striking blue eyes, and my cousins all have these freaky light blue eyes, but I thought after having Ava that I was probably destined to be the father of brown-eyed kids. Leah's always said I have blue eyes (I always thought more hazel, but whatevs), so I guess it's not too crazy that Emmett's are how they are. We're hoping his little wisps of hair turn light blond and curly just in time for spring.

    It is Baby Gap, Liz, but I bought it at a consignment shop. The buttons are a bummer. :(
