One of the neatest things about the vacation this year was that there was a real sense that Ava was making it her own. She’s at the age now where she’ll start having lasting memories of the things we do, and it’s clear that Ava has her favorite activities (let’s face it, she has a short list to choose from). I’m eager for the day she can start going on longer hikes, maybe even on her dad’s and Uncle Kevin’s “Hiking Madness Day.”
One of my favorite pictures from this year is a repeat setup from last year. I spotted this backdrop in an alley we were walking through, and it looks like I started a tradition. First, 2009:
