Hair apparent

Cynthia posted on her blog today about our mutual hair stylist Katie (and I’m using the royal “our” here; all my “styling” is done standing up in the laundry room with hair clippers). Katie’s great. Ava lights up for her like she does for few others. I had my videocam along this evening at the appointment so I could show you what Katie’s like:

    She's at Michael Tschantz. She also does Leah's hair and our friend Cindy's hair, each of whom is rather particular about their coifs.

    I was thinking the same thing when I saw Aprille's reply. Judging by the comments on her recent Flickr shots, her current cut appears to be a big hit.

    Dear Mark and Leah,
    Please stop taking your child to get your hair done by Katie. Katie is booked out 3 solid months and those of us who really need her service cannot get in because kids, who would be adorable if their hair was cut with lawn shears, are taking up her valuable time. Also, please stop blogging about how great she is because I dont want MORE people going to see her!!! :-)

    That's funny. Leah made herself an appt. last night before we left, and I overheard Katie say something to the effect of, “Oh, go ahead and bump Emily, she's not a priority.” Must've been some other Emily.
