    this is what free speech is all about, right? unfortunately, as a society we seem to be interested in going off half-cocked more often than not.

    the problem with the obama plan (notice i did not say ‘tax cut’…) is that people who make less than $250k a year don’t pay much in taxes as it is, but they’ll be getting more money back. that’s a redistribution of wealth, not a tax cut. and that’s a big problem, not in and of itself, but in what it may portend.

    what will be redistributed next? jobs? healthcare? housing?

    These tea parties are a joke. Where were they for the past 8 years? By following their logic (the crowd, not the subject in this video) one could deduce that paying taxes is just fine as long as they are funding stupid wars and cocaine-induced gang bangs at the Department of Interior.

    Good golly. Some guy from my class (of ’88) who somehow found his way onto my FB page (read: “Ugh! Why did I DO that?!”) recently mentioned the Tea Parties in a thread after a picture I’d posted, and started ranting about the liberal media not giving them any coverage. Didn’t know what he was talking about (not because of the supposedly liberal media, but because we don’t live in the US) and hadn’t yet had time to respond. Am wondering if I’ll ever find that time?
