Halloween sneak peek

Those of you lucky enough to be one of my family or friends on Flickr may have already seen this. For the rest of you, behold Ava’s 2008 Halloween costume:

    Too cute …

    I haven’t even begun to think about Halloween costumes yet. I better get on it. Maybe Jake will deem himself as too old this year and I’ll only have to contend with three. Fingers crossed!

    In case you can’t tell, it’s a unicorn–and it came from the secondhand store for a sweet deal. She LOVES it, but when I got home, I noticed a patch of “fur” was missing on the leg. Oh well. Even unicorns have their flaws. :)

    And Leah tells me this costume only cost about $4 second hand, which is great. Unless she was lying. But she wouldn’t lie about shopping, would she…?

    A horse’s “fur” is called “hair.” But perhaps unicorns are so mystical that they have fur instead. I’m not familiar with that aspect of the creature.

    Actually, Mark, the T-Rex was $3. This was $8, I believe. But still MUCH cheaper than anything new.
