Werewolf! There, wolf. There, castle.

All right, so the headline is a bit of a reach here. But I try to make a Marty Feldman reference at least once a month, out of respect.

This is Ava’s “eye thing.” She busts this out every once in a while for no apparent reason. Sometimes she’ll do it as she looks at items in front of her, like at the dinner table, and say, “I see two forks, two ketchups, two plates…” etc. She did it last night, actually. Leah’s not a big fan, but I think it’s hilarious. I welcome your feedback.

I think there is no end to the mileage available on this facial gesture, especially when coupled tactfully with an arduous board meeting.

My dad used to tell me that if I moved my eyes like that – they would stay like that permanently… Let’s just say he didn’t deter me.

I also think it is hilarious – although if it was my kid doing it, I would find it deeply disturbing.

Is that called sitting on the fence?

I think it’s funny that SHE is controlling that and being silly.

My Emily looks like that ALL THE TIME if her glasses aren’t on. It’s rather disheartening. The doctor said she’d probably always be that way. :( Maybe someday a type of surgery will fix it.

As for Ava though … I vote for funny too!

I didn’t mean to make light of what I know is a fairly common…condition(?) in a lot of people. Hell, my sister-in-law has a lazy eye, too. Fortunately, like Emily, it doesn’t bother her too much. Also like Emily, Rachel’s so darn cute that no one ever really pays attention to what her eyes are doing.

Aida was diagnosed with lazy eye when she was 5 – luckily we caught it early enough and after 2.5 years of wearing a patch {the second 1.5 years she only had to wear it for a few hours a day} she was cured.

I didn’t think you were being insensitive.

It’s not one bit cute and Rachel DOES NOT have a lazy eye. So there’s the mother-in-law weighing in
