Leo was about two when he swatted and killed his first fly. He was standing by the back door, watching the flies fly and butt against the window and saying, &quot;Bee-ee-eezz! Bee-ee-eezz!&quot; (both boys still call flies bees, by the way). After a while, he reached up an swatted so quickly that I hardly even saw it happen, and then: no fly! I looked, and found it at his feet: legs up, wings still. I said, &quot;You killed it!&quot; and he bent down, inspected, and said, &quot;He sleeping.&quot; We&#039;ve called him The Karate Kid ever since.</description>
